FACTORY MUTUAL SPRINKLER REQUIREMENTS
FOR PRE-ACTION AND DELUGE TYPE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS
E-1 GENERAL INFORMATION
PEGAsys™ LV system installation applications that require
Factory Mutual (FM) Approval of pre-action and deluge
sprinkler systems must conform to the following guidelines:
• SmartOne
®
Thermal Detectors, Model THD-7252,
when used must be installed at 20 ft. spacings. The
pre-alarm and alarm setpoint ranges are as follows:
Pre-Alarm–80° to 155° F
Alarm–135° to 155° F
• Initiating Circuits (RX/TX-PC line) must be configured
for Style 6 wiring. Refer to drawing number
06-235443-002 for complete RX/TX PC line wiring in-
structions.
• Provide 90 hours of standby battery and 10 minutes of
alarm operation. Refer to Appendix A.
• Agent release output can be CCM output MP1. MP1
is required to be configured for solenoid activation. The
solenoid output on-time period should be set to either
“90 seconds” or “on until reset” using the PCS pro-
gram.
