Update Scanner Firmware — when selected, you will be prompted to
browse to the location of the new scanner firmware and start the
firmware update. See www.kodakalaris.com/go/IM for updated software
and firmware. This option is available to anyone who is logged into the
scanner website. When updating the firmware on the scanner, it may
take a few minutes to update; be patient. Once updated the scanner
must be restarted for the new updates to take affect. The option will not
be displayed if the scanner is password protected.
Change Admin Password — allows you to create a password to
prevent others from changing your network configurations. See the
previous section entitled, “Setting or changing a password” for more
information. This option will not be displayed if the scanner is password
protected.
Status bar — error messages and what function can be performed on
the current tab are displayed in this area.
