USB with an optional
Wireless Directly (ad hoc)
connection
There is no USB selection required on the website. If you want to
configure the scanner as a USB device without the optional Wireless
Directly (ad hoc), uncheck Wireless Directly from the Network tab.
NOTE: Wired Network must be selected or you will not be able to get
to the website without restoring factory defaults if you uncheck
Wireless Directly (ad hoc).
When the USB connection option is configured, the Wireless Directly
(ad hoc) connection mode is always available unless it is unchecked on
the Network tab or the Wireless switch on the back of the scanner is in
the OFF position.
Hardware USB connection
If you have not connected the power adapter yet, do that before
continuing with the USB connection (see the illustration below).
Attach one end of the USB cable to the back of the scanner and the
other end of the USB cable into the proper USB port on your PC.
Your scanner will automatically power up and be ready to use.
NOTE: Do not plug in an Ethernet cable and a USB cable at the same
time into the back of the scanner; the scanner will not function in
this configuration.
