A clean motorcycle reduces inspection time and saves money!
Change the engine oil, oil filter and fine screen filter
Clean the oil screens and magnet on the drain plug
Check the oil lines for damage and kinkfree installation
Check and adjust the spark plug, replace every 10,000 km
Check and adjust the valve clearance
Check the engine fastening bolts for a tight fit
Check any engine bolts accessible from the outside for a tight fit
Check the carburetor connection boots for cracks or leaks
Check the idle setting
Check the vent hoses for damage and kinkfree installation
Check the cooling system for tightness, check the antifreeze
Check the radiator for proper functioning
Check the exhaust system for leaks; check the suspension
Check the cables for damage, smooth operation and kink-free installation; adjust and lubricate
Check the oil level in the master cylinder of the hydraulic clutch
Clean the air filter and air filter box
Check the cables for damage and kink-free installation
Check the headlight adjustment
Check the electric system for proper functioning (low/high beams/camouflage light,
brake light,
turn signal, indicator lamps, speedometer illumination, horn, emergency OFF switch, grip heater, socket)
Check screws and nuts for a tight fit
Check the brake fluid level, lining thickness and brake disks
Check the brake lines for damage and tightness
Check/adjust the function/smooth operation, free travel of the hand/foot brake lever
Check the screws on the brake system for a tight fit
Check the shock absorber and fork for tightness and proper functioning
Check the O-ring on the shock absorber for wear
Clean the dust boots
Bleed the fork legs
Check the swinging fork pivot
Check/adjust the steering head bearing
Lubricate the rocker arm
Check the condition of the trunk holder, trunks, top case and tank bag and a tight fit
Check all chassis screws for a tight fit (triple clamps, fork leg, axle nuts/screws,
swinging fork pivot, rocker arm, shock absorber)
Check the spoke tension and rim runout
Check the tire condition and air pressure
Check the chain and chain guides for wear, a tight fit and tension
Check the screws on the chain sprocket and rear sprocket for securing mechanisms and a tight fit
Grease the chain
Check the wheel bearings and jerk damper for clearance
