12.40 Checking the frame

– Check the frame for cracking and deformation.
» If the frame exhibits cracking or deformation due to a mechanical impact:
– Change the frame.

Always replace a frame that has been damaged due to a mechanical
impact. Repair of the frame is not authorized by KTM.
12.41 Checking the swingarm

– Check the swingarm for damage, cracking, and deformation.
» If the swingarm shows signs of damage, cracking, or deformation:
– Change the swingarm.

12.42 Checking throttle cable routing
Preparatory work
– Remove the seat. ( p. 64)
– Remove the fuel tank. ( p. 69)

Main work
– Check throttle cable routing.
Both throttle cables must be routed to the throttle valve body side by side behind
the handlebars and above the fuel tank bearing.
» If the throttle cable routing is not as specified:
– Correct throttle cable routing.
Finishing work
– Install the fuel tank. ( p. 70)
– Mount the seat. ( p. 64)
