Collateincreasesprintspeedtospecifytheorderinwhichthepagesofa
multi-copyjobareprinted.WithCollateselected,theprintjob'sdataisrendered
aspageimagesintheprintingsystem'smemoryafterithasbeendownloaded
thefirsttime.Theremainingjobcopiesareprintedfromthisstoreddata,
bypassingtheprocessofsendingdownthejob'sdatafromthecomputertothe
printingsystemwitheverycopy.
WithCollateselected,thedriverprintsthecompletejobsetbyset.WithCollate
cleared,itprintseachpagebyset.Forexample,withCollateselected,three
copiesofafive-pagedocumentoutputsaspagesonethroughfivein
succession,threetimes.Thedrivergraphicsimagedisplaysthegroupingof
collatingandnon-collatingpages.
Whenprintingmultiplecopiesofamultipagedocument,theprintercan
assemblethepagesofeachcopyinnumericalorder.

Inyourapplication,openthePrintdialogboxandclickProperties.

SelecttheCollatecheckbox.

TypeorselectthenumberofcompletesetsintheNumberofcopiesbox.
Whenprintingusingthecollateoption,specifythenumberofcopiestoprint.
Thedocumentpagecountmustnotexceedtheprintertraycapacity.

ClickOKtoreturntothePrintdialogbox,andclickOKtobeginprinting.
EcoPrintmakestheentireimage,textandgraphics,appearlighterinthe
printedjob.EcoPrintdoesnotincreaseprintspeed.
