ProofandholdisaJobstorage(e-MPS)optionthatprintsonecopyofaprint
jobsothatyoucanproofitbeforeprintingtheremainingcopies.Thisfeatureis
availablewhenaharddiskisinstalledintheprintingsystemandselectedinthe
DeviceSettingstab.
Aftertheproofcopyisprintedandchecked,remainingcopiescanbeprinted
fromtheprintingsystem’soperationpanelwithoutsendingthejobagainfrom
thecomputer.Ifdesired,youcanchangethenumberofcopiesprinted.
Note:ProofandholdisnotavailableforsomeapplicationssuchasMicrosoft
Excel.
ThenumberofProofandholdorQuickcopyjobsthatcanbestoredissetat
theprintingsystem’soperationpanel,toamaximumof50jobs.Whenthe
designatednumberofjobsisreached,olderjobsarereplacedbynewjobs.All
Proofandholdjobsarestoredontheharddiskafterprintingbutaredeleted
whentheprintingsystemisturnedoff.Youcanmanuallydeleteajobatthe
operationpanel.
Warning:AprintjobcanreplaceajobontheharddiskhavingthesameUser
nameandJobname.Topreventthis,selectUsejobname+dateandtime
underOverwritejobname.
Proofandholdletsyouprintonecopyofamulticopyjobtoproofbefore
printingtheremainingcopies.Thejobisstoredontheharddisk,orRAMdisk
untiltheprintingsystemisturnedofforthejobismanuallydeleted.

Fromtheapplication'sFilemenu,clickPrint,thenclickPreferencesor
PropertiestoopenthePropertiesdialogbox.

ClicktheBasictab,andselectthenumberofcopiestobeprinted.

ClicktheJobtabandselectJobstorage(e-MPS).

ClickProofandhold,andclickOKinbothdialogboxestoprint.
Aftertheproofcopyhasbeenreviewed,youcanprinttheremainingcopiesfrom
theprintingsystem’soperationpanelwithoutsendingthejobagainfromyour
computer.
