Location Requirements
Note: The biosafety cabinet should be located away from traffic patterns, doors,
fans, ventilation registers, fume hoods and any other air-handling devices that
could disrupt its airflow patterns. All windows in the room should remain closed.
Figure 2-1 shows the preferred location for the biosafety cabinet.

to prevent cabinet disruption
Alternate location
Main Disconnect Device
(Power cord plug in back
of the electronics module).
Do not position the unit so that it is difficult to operate the main
disconnect device.
