Average downflow shall be 55 +/-5 FPM with all test points being within +/- 16 FPM.
Inflow Velocity Calculation - Primary
Method
Note: The dress panel MUST be installed on the cabinet to obtain an accurate inflow
value.
The average inflow velocity for Logic+ A2 and B2 models is 105 ±5 FPM, and Type A1s
are 85+/-5 FPM. It should be determined by converting the inflow volume to the
average inflow velocity. The inflow volume is measured directly by sealing a direct inflow
measuring flow meter to the face of the unit. When corrected for local conditions,
dividing the inflow volume by the opening area will yield the average inflow velocity.
