3. Disassemble the water filter.
1. Unscrew and remove the clear water filter bowl (do not remove the housing from the tubing).
2. Take note of the installed position and remove the stainless steel mesh water filter element.
Note: Handle the water filter element by the black plastic cage only and do not touch the steel mesh.
4. Rinse the element and bowl under flowing tap water. If the buildup does not rinse off at first, use a lint-free swab to gently
wipe the water filter element to loosen the residue material and rinse again.
Note: Make sure to wipe both the inside and the outside of the water filter element and be careful not to damage
the steel mesh.
5. Perform a final rinse with Type 1 Ultrapure Water before reassembling the water filter.
6. Insert the water filter element into the housing in its original position.
7. Ensure the orange gasket is seated in the bowl and then screw it back onto the housing.
8. Ensure the water filter is oriented with the clear bowl downwards as shown below.
9. From the Diagnostics window, set theCoupler Pump Direction to Normal and the Coupler Pump to On.
10. Inspect the water filter for leaks as the lines get refilled and tighten the bowl if necessary.

element and bowl with the new one. The user should still clean the old water filter element and bowl using the
steps above and dry and store the parts for future use.
