Ensure that the SATA channel to which the DVD drive is attached is enabled in the Setup Utility program, all cables and jumpers are correctly installed, the signal cable and connector are not damaged, and the correct device driver is installed for the DVD drive. 2. Reseat the DVD drive and its cables. 3. Replace the DVD drive, then the DVD drive cables, and finally (if you are a trained service technician) the system board, one at a time, restarting the server each time.
