Toinstallamemorymodule,dothefollowing:
1.Prepareyourserver.See“Preparingyourserverinadvance”onpage47.
2.Locateanappropriatememoryslotonthesystemboardbyreferringtothememorymoduleinstallation
rulesin“Memorymodule”onpage53.Ifafillerisinstalledintheslot,removethefiller.
3.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthenewmemorymoduletoanyunpaintedsurfaceon
theoutsideoftheserver.Then,takethenewmemorymoduleoutofthepackage.
Note:Carefullyhandlethememorymodulebyitsedges.
4.Opentheretainingclipsandinstallthememorymoduleintotheslotuntiltheretainingclipsare
completelyclosed.
