Note:Thefrontfanassemblyisonlyavailableonsomemodels.
Toreplacethefrontfanassembly,dothefollowing:
1.Removeanymediafromthedrivesandturnoffallconnecteddevicesandthecomputer.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedtothe
computer.
2.Removethecomputercover.See“Removingthecomputercover”onpage58.
3.Removethefrontbezel.See“Removingandreinstallingthefrontbezel”onpage59.
4.Disconnectthefrontfanassemblycablefromthepowerfanconnectoronthesystemboard.See
“Partsonthesystemboard”onpage7.
5.Thefrontfanassemblyisattachedtothechassisbyfourrubbermounts.Removethefrontfanassembly
bybreakingorcuttingtherubbermountsandgentlypullingthefrontfanassemblyoutofthechassis.
Note:Thenewfrontfanassemblycomeswithfournewrubbermountsattached.
