Attention: Avoid using excessive force on the CMOS battery, as it might damage the socket on
the system board and result in system board replacement.

After this task is completed
1. Reconnect all the required cables to the drive backplane; then, reinstall the drive cage assembly to the
node (see “E3.S drive backplane cable routing” on page 176 and “Install a drive cage assembly” on
page 88
).
2. Make sure that all the required cables are routed and connected correctly; then, reinstall the top cover
(see
“Install the top cover” on page 170).
3. Reinstall the node into the chassis (see
“Install a node to the chassis” on page 75).
4. Reinstall all drives and drive fillers (if any) to the node (see
“Install a hot-swap drive” on page 97).
5. Make sure that the required power supply units are installed and power cords are connected; then,
power on the node (see
“Install a hot-swap power supply” on page 61 and “Power on the node” on page
51
.)
6. Proceed to complete the parts replacement (see
“Complete the parts replacement” on page 171).
7. Set the date, time, and any passwords via the Setup Utility. After the CMOS battery installation, the
node must be reconfigured, and the system date and time must be reset.
Drive cage assembly replacement
Follow instructions in this section to remove or install the drive cage assembly.
Note: Depending on the specific configuration, the node might not come with this component.
On the front of the SD530 V3 node, there is either a drive cage or a front OCP cage installed.
Remove the drive cage assembly
Follow instructions in this section to remove the drive cage assembly.
