ship the instrument with
the battery installed.
Battery Removal
1. To remove the battery, open the door to the battery compartment
by sliding the door to the left to unlatch it as shown in Figure 3-9.

Note: Remove the
battery if the instrument will
be stored for a month or
longer. Leaving the battery
in during storage will drain
the battery to the point
where it will not recharge.
2. Swing the battery compartment door open. See Figure 3-10.
