54 THE BLUE BOX LT PARTS REPLACEMENT & INSTALLATION GUIDE
DTC DISPLAY REPLACEMENT AND
INSTALLATION
Unplug the jumper cable at the back of the 1.
DTC.
Unscrew the four fasteners on the back of the 2.
DTC.
Mount the new DTC.3.
Re-connect the new DTC.4.
After the defective part replacement installation 5.
is complete, return the part using the prepaid
USP return label and envelope to LC&D.
[Note: If the defective part is not returned within a
30-day period, your account will be automatically billed
for the part. ]
SMACkER STRIP (BLUE BOX LT16)
REPLACEMENT AND INSTALLATION
To remove a defective smacker strip
De-power the Blue Box LT by switching off the 1.
breaker feeding the power supply (the relays in
that panel will close).
Once the panel is de-powered, disconnect all 2.
cables connected to the smacker strip.
Remove the three screws and lift the smacker 3.
strip out of the panel.
To replace a defective smacker strip
Mount the new Smacker Strip using the three 4.
screws.
Re-connect all flat cables and relay jumpers. 5.
Refer to the Blue Box LT 16 schematic drawing if
uncertain about cable placement.
Re-power the Blue Box LT.6.
After the defective part replacement installation 7.
is complete, return the part using the prepaid
USP return label and envelope to LC&D.

Smacker Strip
To verify proper connections:
To exercise and test the newly added smacker 8.
strip, navigate to the MANUAL OVERRIDE
screen: USER MENU > MANUAL OVERRIDE

SCROLL to select LCP
TAB to LOAD
SCROLL to select
LOAD
ENTER to toggle status
TAB or SCROLL to the correct LCP. Exercise each 9.
relay by manually switching it on and off 3 or 4
times. Make sure the relay corresponds to the Load
number on the MANUAL OVERRIDE screen.
Correct any mis-connections.10.
