5.1.7 Scales calibration
WARNING!
Only an authorised person may enter this mode. Each entry into the constants setup changes the calibration counter in
the internal memory, and the weighing system is not regarded as a verified measuring instrument any more. The state
of the calibration counter is a part of the verification label of the authorised person. The number of calibrations can be
displayed in the Diagnostic mode (see chapter 5.1.2 Diagnostics of scales). The scale system as a designated measuring
instrument must be verified by an authorised person after any change of constants according to the metrological act.
When replacing the scale module or when replacing any tensometer, it is always necessary to perform a new scales
calibration.
5.1.7.1 Entering the calibration constant and the weight of the calibration weight
Before starting the calibration, make sure that the scale system is powered from the mains. If calibration is started and the system is
running on battery power, calibration can not be performed. After entering the calibration mode, an error message is displayed:
Obr. 33 Error message after starting the calibration, when the scales system is powered by batteries
Calibration can only be entered from the unlocked main menu. The calibration menu closes after 120 seconds of inactivity (wheel in
the upper right corner), any press resets the counter.
To access the CALIBRATION mode from the unlocked main menu (to unlock the menu, see chapter 5.1):
► Select CALIBRATION using the PAUSE or PLAY/STOP
► Confirm your selection by pressing WEIGHT/CLEAR
► The „On screen keyboard“ screen opens
► Select from the digits 0 - 9 to enter the value of the gravitational constant valid for the country where the bed is used
(without a decimal point, ie 9780 - 9825) or the value for the relevant geographical zone 1-8 (see Fig. 31 with the table).
The selection is made with the PLAY/STOP (scroll left) or PAUSE (scroll right) buttons. Confirm each digit with the WEIGHT/
CLEAR button. The character is written in the box
► The character in the box can be deleted by pressing the ZERO/T button (if no value is entered in the box, the screen will be
left without confirming the entry)
► After entering the constant value, move to the enter character and press the WEIGHT/CLEAR button
