15 Bluetooth module
LX Eos has internal Bluetooth 2.0 module which is always on and cannot be turned off. At the back of the
unit, there is external Bluetooth antenna, that enables better range (brown cable).
15.1 Pairing with PNA
Perform search of BT device on your PNA/PDA (Oudie, Mio, …). LX Eos XXXX X, where XXXXX represents
serial nr of the unit, will be visible on device list, when in range and turned on. Pair code will be requested to
start communication with PDA/PNA and Lx Eos. Enter pair code: 1234
After successful connection, Bluetooth icon is visible on main vario page.

15.3 Usage
Bluetooth communication is designed to be used in double seat gliders, so 2
nd
seat PDA/PNA can get all the
data via BT or when only power cables are provided in glider for PDA/PNA (Club gliders).
16 User port
LX Eos uses User port (RS232 standard) to connect to third party devices such as PDA/PNA (Oudie, Mio,..),
radio (KRT2)
Connect any third party device only with LX Navigation supported cable. Any unsupported cable may
damage LX Eos or third party device beyond repairs. For successful communication correct BR must be
selected under NMEA settings.
Note: For some PDA (for example HP314 ....) it is preferable to set the USER Port at BR115200 or at least
at the maximum BR that is supported by the PDA. This can help to avoid communication problems during
the declaration from PDA to LX Eos
