•Checktheswitch(1) position.
•CheckthattheMAGICVAC
®
powersupplycordispluggedintotheapplianceandintothe
electricaloutlet.Checktheelectricoutletbyplugginganotherunitintoit.
•Checkforfaultsinthepowercordortheplug.Shouldyoudetectafault,donotusethe
appliance.
•Makesurethebagcutfromtherollisproperlypositionedasdescribedintheparagraph:
“5-MakingbagsfromMAGICVACrolls
®
”
•Makesurethatthesealinggasketisintactandinthecorrectposition
•Tosealthebagproperly,youmustmakesurethattheopenendremainscompletelyinside
the Vacuum Chamber.
•MakesurethattheSealingBarandtheAirtightandSealingGasketsarefreeofimpurities.
Aftercleaningthem,putthemproperlybackinplace.
•TheMAGICVAC
®
bagmighthaveaholeinit.Tocheckthebag,sealitwithairinside,placeit
underwaterandapplypressureonit.Theappearanceofbubblesmeansthatthereisaleak.
Resealoruseanotherbag.
•Whenevertheappliancedoesnotsealthebagcompletely,pressthe“T”button(2F) and
increasethesealingtime.
•IftheSealingBaroverheatsandmeltsthebag,youmayhavetoraisetheLidandallowthe
SealingBartocooldownforafewminutes.
•Makesurethatthesealinggasketisintactandinthecorrectposition
•Leaksalongtheseammaybecausedbycreases,crumbs,greaseorliquids.Reopenthe
bag,cleantheupperinsidepartofthebagandremoveanyforeignmaterialfromtheSealing
Barbeforeresealingit.
•Checkthatthebaghasnoholesinitwhichhavecausedairtoleakin.Usepapernapkinsto
protectanysharpedgesonthecontentsofthebag.
•BymeansoftheConnectionHose,connectthecontainercap(ortheCapAttachmentif
necessary) to the Air Inlet of the appliance.
•Leaveenoughroom(atleast3cm)betweenthecontentsandthetopofthejarorcontainer.
•Ifliquidscomeoutduringthevacuum-packingprocess,rememberthattheymustrstbe
chilledinarefrigerator.
•Check that the rim of the jar or container and the universal cap arenotdamagedinthe
sealingarea.Wipetherimandcapcleanwithaclothmoistenedwithlukewarmwaterand
repeatthevacuum-packingprocess.
•Makesurethatthegasketofthecontainercaportheuniversalcapissetproperlyinplace
andisnotdamaged.
•Make surethatthearrowontheknobofthe container cap ispositionedon“VACUUM”
beforecreatingavacuuminthecontaineranditispositionedon“CLOSED”afteravacuum
is formed.
•MakesurethattheO-ringbeneaththeknobofthecontainercaportheuniversalcapisset
properly in place.
•Check that the rim of the jar or container and the universal cap arenotdamagedinthe
sealingarea.Wipetherimandcapcleanwithaclothmoistenedwithlukewarmwaterand
repeatthevacuum-formingprocess.
•Makesurethatthegasketofthecontainercaportheuniversalcapissetproperlyinplace
andisnotdamaged.
•Makesurethattheconnectiontubeisproperlyconnectedtoboththecontainerknoband
the air inlet (4) of the appliance.
•Makesurethatthearrowontheknobofthesquarecontainercapispositionedon“OPEN-
(M)”andsafetycatches(21)areengaged.
•MakesurethattheO-ringbeneaththeknobofthecontainercaportheuniversalcapisset
properly in place.
•Check that the rim of the jar or container and the universal cap arenotdamagedinthe
sealingarea.Wipetherimandcapcleanwithaclothmoistenedwithlukewarmwaterand
repeatthevacuum-formingprocess.
•Makesurethattheconnectiontubeisproperlyconnectedtoboththecontainerknoband
the air inlet(4) of the appliance.
•Makesurethatthegasketofthecontainercaportheuniversalcapissetproperlyinplace
andisnotdamaged.
•Whentherstvacuumphasestartsgentlypressdownthecapontothecontaineruntilthe
vacuumgaugepointerbeginstoturn.
