4. Inspect the teeth on all cones and rings for excessive
wear or damage. If wear or damage is evident the unit
must be renewed.
Assembly
Bearing Setting Rings
If the bearing outer cups and setting rings have been
removed, fit new rings so that they are flush with the outer
face of case as shown at A (Figure 7-41). Press in the outer
bearing cups from the inside of the casing as shown at B
(Figure 7-42). Push in the cup until it is up against the setting
ring.
