Understanding the Vehicle
the Tonneau cover is opened;
the side windows and backlite rear
screen are fully lowered;
the RHT system element come out of
the hard top compartment and extends
over the passenger compartment;
the front element is placed and secured
on the windscreen cross member;
the Tonneau cover is closed;
the backlite rear screen is raised;
the side windows are raised.
NOTE:
While the RHT system is being closed,
you cannot operate the side windows,
the backlite rear screen and the trunk.
If the RHT system is closed, the audio
system reconfigures itself to ensure the
best listening experience. Any mute,
previously set, will not be maintained
and must be manually set again by the
user.
The closing time of the RHT is about 12
seconds.
The roof controls are grayed if the
system detects a fail.
The movement cycle can be interrupted
at any time by releasing the soft-key.
CAUTION!
At the beginning of the hard top opening
or closing cycle, always ensure that
the door windows have lowered
automatically to avoid glasses damage.
Side windows could get stuck in roof
seals. If not, release the hard top
movement soft-key.
Interruption/Inhibition of Hard
Top Movement
Automatic movement of the hard top is
interrupted in the following cases:
If the opening or closing soft-key
is released before the hard top has
completed its movement cycle.
Exceeding a speed of 31 mph (50 km/h)
+ 31 mph (50 km/h) of wind.
Automatic movement of the hard top is
inhibited in the following cases:
Vehicle moving (at a speed above 31
mph (50 km/h) + 31 mph (50 km/h) of
wind).
Boot compartment open or not properly
closed.
Failure of the front windows.
Movement system overheated.
Low battery voltage.
Outside temperature too low.
The system cannot read the vehicle
speed.
RHT Failure
In the event of a failure of the electric
hard top movement systems the
instrument cluster will display a
message indicating that automatic
movement is not available.
In these cases, check that the hard top
is in a safe position, and if not, complete
the movement manually (see " Hard Top
Emergency Manual Closing Operation" in
section “In an Emergency”).
