TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem PossibleCause Solution
During operation, no liquid

The insert tip is of the type
which does not provide the
passage of liquids.
Use an insert tip of the type
with the passage of liquids.
The water function is not
active.
Activate the water function.
The insert tip is clogged.
Unscrew the insert tip from
the handpiece and unclog
the insert tip water passage
by blowing compressed air
through it. If the problem
persists, replace the insert tip
with a new one.
The handpiece is clogged.
Contact an Authorized
Mectron Service Center
Poor performance
The insert tip is not correctly
tightened on the handpiece
Unscrew and correctly screw
the insert tip back by using
the Mectron torque wrench
(see
Chapter 4.4 on page
12
of the Use and
MaintenanceManual)
Insert tip broken, worn or
deformed
Replace the insert tip with a
new one.
