3. Hand tighten the torx screw.
4. Verify the quick‑disconnect is disabled by pulling the slide and attempting
to lift the outboard.
LIFTING THE OUTBOARD
IMPORTANT:Never lift the outboard from the battery handle while the battery
is installed in the outboard. Injury or product damage/loss could result.

Remove the battery from the outboard. Refer to Battery Removal.
IMPORTANT:The tiller handle must be locked in the operating position or the
folded up position.
