Connectivity Issues
Issue 7: Ethernet connectivity (Gateway Mode) on the node is
not working.
i. Ensure the node can be turned on with at least 20% battery
(its LED indicators are lighting up).
ii. When using the USB Hub, ensure that:
1. The USB-C data transfer cable is fully inserted into the
node and on the furthest USB-C port of the USB Hub.
2. If the USB-C data transfer cable has blue dots on them,
they should both be facing up once installed. If it still does
not work, their directions should be tested in different
orientations (one of each dot down, both dots down) to be
tried again.
3. The ethernet cable is fully inserted into the USB Hub.
iii. Give the node at least 20 seconds per each attempt to
change its state via LED indicator colors.
iv. The ethernet connection must have unrestricted access to
the internet, an active DHCP server, and no captive portal or
MAC address filtering. These requirements should be fulfilled
with any standard ethernet connection, such as a router.
1. To test whether your connection has unrestricted access,
attempt to visit Google.com on any device. Mesh++ nodes
require Google servers to detect internet access.
2. If your connection has MAC address filtering, the node’s
MAC address must be whitelisted prior.
3. If the use of a static IP is required, please contact Mesh++
at info@meshplusplus.com .
v. Open the node’s core to verify that the internal USB-C cable
is plugged into the node’s PCB.
Issue 8: Nodes are not meshing together (Repeater Mode)
within a network.
i. Verify on the mobile app or dashboard that both nodes
attempting to mesh are members of the same network.
