ii. Ensure that at least 1 node within the network is connected
online consistently in Gateway Mode and is ideally less than
100 m (300 ft) line-of-sight from the node being assessed.
iii. Both mesh nodes must be turned on with at least 20%
battery and its LED indicators visible. Based on this issue, the
LEDs should be red, indicating Recovery Mode. If the LEDs
are another color, refer to section 4.c - Node Modes.
iv. Bring one node being assessed close to another node that is
verified to either be in Gateway Mode or successfully
meshing with another node. Bring the node as close as
possible, ideally under 10 m (30 ft) to verify that there are no
issues with any internal WiFi antennas.
v. If you are using external WiFi antennas for an extended
range node, ensure that they are fastened properly on the
N-type connectors and are verified to function.
vi. If you are not intending to use external antennas, confirm
that the part number does not identify the external antenna
configuration. If the external antenna configuration is set,
the node will not be able to mesh without external antennas.
vii. Log onto the dashboard website - please refer to section 9.b
- Upgrading Node Firmware . Ensure that:
1. Both nodes are running a similar firmware version i.e. -
both nodes are on an iteration of 1.3. If not, update both
nodes to the latest firmware through the dashboard.
2. The frequency channel selection is legal - no red
exclamation point next to the channels is present.
Issue 9: No SSIDs are visible from the network.
i. Verify on the mobile app or dashboard that an SSID has
been successfully created. To learn how to create an SSID,
please visit Section 5.c - Adding To Your Network.
ii. Ensure that at least 1 node within the network is connected
online in Ethernet or Cellular Gateway Mode and is less than
300 m (1000 ft) line-of-sight from either your position or
another node in Repeater Mode within range of you.
iii. Verify on the mobile app or dashboard that all nodes being
assessed are members of the same network.
