1.4 The end product
The output from the machine must satisfy the following requirements: (dependents
o.a. on the proceeding bird type.)
• Bursa and vent hung over the back of the bird.
• Bursa completely removed.
• No damage to the intestines.
• Back or kidneys not damaged.
• Hips not cut.
• High yield.
1.5 The Meyn Vent cutter technical
The machine is directly driven by the overhead conveyor. The machine is made of
stainless steel and other approved materials for food processing.
The height of the machine is adjustable by using a handwheel. The height of the curve
is adjustable by using a capstan wheel.
A Torque switch is a machine safety application to prevent the machine from broken
machine parts in case of disasters (if applied).
1.6 Performance of the machine
The Meyn vent cutter is suitable for various types of poultry. The machine gives a
continuous performance if the machine is maintained and adjust according to the
given directives.
