7.2.4 The in feed
The shackles of the overhead conveyor need to line up with the units of the machine
to get a good in feed of the birds.

• loosen six nuts (A).
• Turn the machine in the desired
position.
• Tighten the nuts (A).
7.2.5 The probes (vent cone)
All the probes have to be set like figure below. Distance X needs to be approximately
1/16 inch (1,5 mm.). When the probes are set too low there will be too much attached
vents. Probes set too deep can cause damaged intestines.

Adjust the probes at the out feed side of

• Loosen nut (C).
• Turn shaft (D) right to move probe (E)
deeper in nylon clamp bush (A).
• Turn shaft (D) left to move probe (E)
less deep in nylon clamp bush (A).
• Tighten nut (C).
