Important notes about using the food
probe
Please note:
You can place the meat in a pot or on
the rack.
The metal tip of the food probe must
be fully inserted into the centre of the
food.
When cooking poultry, insert the
metal tip into the thickest part of the
breast. You can find the thickest part
of the breast by pressing the area
with your thumb and index finger.
The metal tip must not touch any
bone or be inserted in areas with a lot
of fat. Heavily marbled areas and
bones can cause cooking to end
prematurely.
If a range of core temperatures is
given, select the higher value for
heavily marbled meat.
When using roasting bags/tubes,
insert the probe through the bag into
the centre of the meat. Follow the
roasting bag/tube manufacturer's
instructions.
