1. Turn the camera off.
2. Press and hold flash-mode
button.
3. While holding the button down,
turn the camera on.

Canceling the AF Illuminator
The built-in flash is used as an AF illuminator and will fire when nec-
essary to assist the autofocus system in low light. The AF illuminator
function can be turned off.
• This does not affect an accessory flash’s AF illuminator.
AF illuminator is canceled.
