In order to use 8-way sorting, the paths MUST be programmed in EEPROM.
Of the 8 possible routes for an accepted coin, only routes 1 to 7 have a sorter
override input.
Taking the relevant input Low indicates to the acceptor that the route is
overridden. The coin will then travel down the next programmed route or be
accepted through the DEFAULT path.
