CAUTION
Make sure the clutch hose is not twisted
or worn.
Prevent water or dust from accidentally
getting into the circuit.
Wear latex gloves when servicing the
hydraulic circuit.
Clutch fluid is an irritant. Avoid contact
with eyes or skin.
In the event of accidental contact, flush
affected area thoroughly. Seek medical
attention or, if fluid has been spilled in
the eyes, seek the assistance of an
ophthalmologist.
DO NOT RELEASE INTO THE
ENVIRONMENT.
KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
When handling clutch fluid, take care
not to spill it onto plastic or paint-
finished parts or they will damage.
Have clutch fluid changed every two
years by a Moto Guzzi Authorized
Dealer.
Use the fluid recommended in the
lubricants table, see page 106
(LUBRICANT CHART).
The clutch reservoir is located on the left
handlebar near the clutch lever fitting.
NOTE Halve maintenance intervals if
you are riding in rainy or dusty conditions,
on rough road surfaces or when the vehicle
is used for racing.
Before leaving, check the fluid level in the
reservoir, see page 53 (CLUTCH), have it
changed every two years by a Moto Guzzi
Authorized Dealer.
WARNING
Do not ride if the clutch hydraulic circuit
is leaking.
CLUTCH
WARNING
Do not ride your vehicle with a worn or
malfunctioning clutch! The clutch is an
important safety system of your vehicle,
and using the bike with a clutch that is
anything less than perfect is very likely
to lead to a collision or accident, with
consequent risk of serious injury or
death.
NOTE This vehicle is equipped with
hydraulic clutch control.
WARNING
The clutch is extremely important for your
safety. Do not use the vehicle if the clutch
does not work perfectly. Always check
clutch efficiency before riding.
NOTE Halve maintenance intervals if
you are riding in rainy or dusty conditions,
on rough road surfaces or when the vehicle
is used for racing.
Every 10000 km (6250 mi) have the clutch
inspected by a Moto Guzzi Authorized
Dealer.
