Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK)
ATAK is an Android smartphone geospatial infrastructure and military situation awareness app.
ATAK allows for precision targeting, surrounding land formation intelligence, situational awareness,
navigation, and data sharing.

Launching ATAK for the First Time
Procedure:
1 Select the ATAK app.
2 Select I agree on the EULA Acceptance box.
3 Enter your encryption passphrase and press OK.
4 Configure your preferred device configuration options or press Done.

Basic ATAK Configuration
The ATAK Device Setup window allows you to configure your ATAK preferences.

Option Description
Callsign Identity Assigning your teams and roles.
Data Package Manage data packages.
Plugins Manage MSI plugins.
Import Files Import files into your device.
Network Preferences Configure your ATAK servers.
More Settings Allows you to configure the settings in ATAK.

Enabling Sideloaded Maps
Prerequisites: Ensure that maps are loaded into the ATAK folder. See Sideloading Files on APX
NEXT Using USB Cable on page 72.
Procedure:
1 From the ATAK home screen, select Menu→Import Manager→Local SD.
2 Select the files and press OK.
