The alarm lights and heartbeat indicator on the display will
flash approximately every 60 seconds to indicate that the
Altair Detector is operating.
AlarmTest
Check before each day’s use.
Press the TEST button momentarily. A one-second test of the
alarms will occur; this includes the:
display
alarm lights
vibrator
horn.
If these items do not activate, remove the instrument from service.
BumpTest
Check before each day’s use.
Press the TEST button momentarily:
oxygen versions will display the current oxygen reading;
calibrate the unit if it reads other than 20.8%.
"TEST" "GAS" "?" will display.
alarm test will activate.
Press the TEST button again while "TEST" "GAS" "?" is displayed
to activate the Bump Test mode.
the hourglass and "GAS" will display.
Apply gas only AFTER the hourglass and "GAS" are displayed.
If gas is detected, the display will indicate "OK".
