Step 6. Update the NAS Firewall Setting
Depending on your firewall setting, UPnP activity can sometimes be blocked on certain ports.
The following steps update the firewall on the NAS to allow UPnP traffic.
1. Navigate to the
Control Panel
on the NAS. Click on the
Security
button.
2. Navigate to the
Firewall
and click on the
Create
button. In the
Ports
section of the
Create Firewall Rules
page click on the “
Select from a list of built in applications”
.
Click on the
Select
button.
