3. Loosen the idler pulley enough for the belt to clear it
using a 1/2” wrench.
4. Slip the belt off of the engine pulley.
5. Drain the fuel into an approved container.
6. Carefully tip the snow thrower forward so it rests on
the auger housing.
7. Remove the bottom access panel. See Figure 2.4.
8. Remove the belt guide (the shoulder bolt) with a 3/
4” wrench and a 9/16” wrench. See Figure 2.5.
9. Unhook the idler bracket return spring.
