7.19.1 Battery-charging generator drive – Drive belt check and adjustment

☑Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Preparatory steps
1. Remove limit switch (4).
2. Remove indicator (1).
3. Remove screws (3) of protective cover (2).
4. Remove protective cover.
5. Check drive belt condition (→ Page 208).
Belt drive – Checking distance
1. Measure distance (A) with assembly de-
vice.
2. If measured value of distance (A) is not
within the tolerance of 98 mm ± 1.5 mm,
readjust belt tension.
