Preconditions
āEngine is stopped and starting disabled.

Checking engine monitoring unit
plug connections
1. Use connector pliers (3) to make certain
that all engine monitoring unit plug connec-
tions are securely seated.
2. Tighten loose bayonet couplings (2) with
connector pliers (3) by turning them clock-
wise until they latch into place.
3. Make sure that unassigned sockets are
closed off with cover caps.
4. If bayonet couplings are defective, contact
Service.
