Appendix B: General Care and Cleaning
General Care
Do not store or leave the instrument where the liquid crystal display will be exposed
to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
Caution: To avoid any damage to the instrument or probe, do not exposed it to any
sprays, liquids, or solvents.
Cleaning
Inspect the instrument and probes as often as operating conditions require.
To clean the instrument exterior, perform the following steps:
1. Please wipe the dust from the instrument and probe surface with a soft cloth. When
cleaning the LCD, do not scratch the transparent LCD protective screen.
2. Wipe the instrument in power off status by soft cloth that is lightly moistened. Itis
allowed to be cleaned by soft detergent or fresh water. Do not use any abrasive
chemical detergent to avoid the instrument or the probe being damaged.
Warning: Before running please confirm that the instrument has been dried out so
as to avoid electrical short circuit and personal injury caused by
moisture during storage or shipping.
