PAN group – all exams
Positioners
Bite
Needed for all patients, except for edentulous ones.
Chin rest
Needed for edentulous patients.
Positioning procedure
Standard procedure (as described in paragraph 5.3a).
TMJ group - all exams
Positioners
TMJ support
Needed for all patients.
Positioning procedure
Standard procedure (as described in paragraph 5.3a), unless the bite and the chin rest are not required.
SIN group - all exams

CEPH group –LAT-LAT examinations (all types)

Standard procedure (as described in section 5.3b), except that the head holder is rotated with the nose support in the
lateral position:
towards the image detector for AP (anteroposterior) and Sub-Mento Vertex and towards the ray source for PA (pos-
teroanterior).
