hyperion - OPERATING INSTRUCTION
3 DESCRIPTION OF THE APPARATUS
hyperion consists of a rotating arm attached to a support column. The powered rotating arm is capable of rotating and
translating thereby allowing the x-ray emission system and image detector to be moved around the patient according to
complex orbits that follow the morphological prole. The rotating arm is attached to a support column capable of moving
vertically through a motorized movement. The images show hyperion in rest position.
In the hyperion MRT model the CCD sensor is xed and it is available in only one conguration.

hyperion, on the other hand, can be equipped with a remote X-ray arm coupled to the column support. The arm has a
cephalostat, to maintain the patient in position during the examination, and imaging detector that moves in sync with
the movement of the X-ray source.
A user’s choice, the hyperion units can be equipped with a single imaging detector (the operator must place it on the
rotating arm for panoramic examinations or on teleradiographyc arm for exams CEPH) or by two separate detectors
images (which remain xed, on a rotating arm and the other on the arm to teleradiography).
