■ Processor upgrades
A zero insertion force (ZIF) socket on the system board
supports primary processors, such as 486DX2 and DX4
processors, and OverDrive processor upgrades.
See your authorized NEC dealer for assistance in
determining which processor is best for you.

CAUTION: Incorrect installation of the
processor chip can damage the system board, the chip,
or both. See “Chip Upgrades” in this chapter for
detailed information.
■ External options
External peripherals, such as state-of-the-art printers,
are compatible with your system.

guidelines on installing options in your system.
