evadts
The EVADTS (European Vending Association Data Transfer System)
communication protocol has 2 codes for identifying the machine
and for recognising the data transfer terminal.
5.3.1
P
a s s c o d e
It is a four-digit alphanumeric code (0-9; A-F) that must be the same
as the one in the data transfer terminal to allow its identication.
When pressing the conrm button the code is displayed as “0000”
regardless of the actual value; then by pressing the conrm button
the rst digit will start blinking.
Using the scrolling keys, its value can be changed (during the
change operation the value becomes visible).
Repeat this operation for the 4 digits, after which the value is stored
and the display will indicate “0000” again.
5.3.2
s
e c u r I t y c o d e
It is a further alphanumeric code for reciprocal recognition between
machine and EVADTS terminal.
Programming works as in the “Pass Code”.
5.3.3
c
o n n e c t I o n
This function places the machine in wait mode for connection to
retrieve data.
