Getting Started Using FirstGear for the Model RT328 ISDN Router
Quick Configuration for Internet Access 4-3
To configure the North American ISDN line information, follow these steps:
1. Enter the directory numbers (DNs) assigned to your ISDN phone line.
These numbers are the telephone number(s) assigned to your ISDN line by your telephone
company. Some lines have only one telephone number. For North America, these phone
numbers are in a standard seven-digit local format (for example, 5551212). Enter up to 19
digits, and do not include dashes (-) or spaces in this field.
2. Select the type of ISDN switch or protocol used by your telephone company.
If the switch is running National ISDN Protocol, select National ISDN regardless of the switch
manufacturer.
3. Enter the Service Profile Identifier (SPID) numbers provided by your telephone
company.
SPID numbers are not required for the AT&T 5ESS custom point-to-point switch type.
4. Click on the Next>> button at the bottom of the screen to display the Quick
Configuration IP Information Screen and proceed to Step 1 in “IP Information.
