4.1 Introduction
A functional block diagram of the 5600 is shown in Figure 12. In each of the
following sections there are functional block diagrams for the various circuit
boards of the 5600.

4.2 Laser Driver Theory of Operation
Figure 13 shows the functionality of the Laser Driver. The following
sections detail the theory of operation for each of the blocks in Figure 13.
The circuit block diagrams for each laser mode of operation are shown in
Figure 14, Figure 15, and Figure 16. The theory of operation for each mode
of operation is discussed in Sections 4.2.9 - 4.2.11.
