When the curve number is updated in the "CURVE N" field, the name in the display field
will be updated in real time.
In addition to the "CURVE N" field there is also the "OFFSET" field, allowing the user to
modify the degree of response of the selected curve. Once the curve has been selected, it
will be possible to make it lighter or harder by modifying this value, while the composition
of the curve itself remains unchanged. With OFFSET=0 the curve is not altered; positive
values make it lighter and negative values heavier.
The permitted range of values is from -127 to +127; note that with extreme positive values
the curve tends to become "flat 127" (dynamic fixed at 127), while at extreme negative
values it tends to become "flat 0" (dynamic fixed at 0, meaning the note is inaudible).
When a dynamic curve is shown in graph form, it will show the "down time" (or the force
with which the key is pressed) on the horizontal axis, and the value of the MIDI datum
emitted by the instrument on the vertical axis.
After selecting the desired field, enter the appropriate value with the normal procedure.
Once the setup has been completed, press [ESC] to return to the previous page
("CURVES" submenu) and if required [ESC] again to return to the MAIN page of the Edit
menu.
The following are the descriptions of the dynamic curves which can be selected:
