Installing the Olympus DSS Player
Pro Software
The Olympus DSS Player Pro software, available on the Olympus DSS Player
Pro software CD provided with your DS-4000 recorder, must be installed on
each provider’s PC workstation. You will not actually use the Player Pro
software. However, it must be installed on the PC so the Dictaphone EXV
Olympus Uploader application can recognize the DS-4000 recorder.
If the providers in your organization who dictate their reports using an
Olympus DS-4000 recorder want to use their PC workstation to upload their
dictations to the EXVoice server, the Olympus DS-4000 recorder must be
connected to each provider’s PC workstation at the time that they upload their
files.
To install the DSS Player Pro software at each workstation:
1. Insert the Olympus DSS Player Pro software CD into the CD-ROM
drive of the workstation PC. The DSS Player Pro Release 4
installation splash screen appears.
If you do not see this splash screen, browse to the CD and double-click
setup.exe.
