Troubleshooting
Olympus Uploader does not open automatically or you
get an error message
If the Olympus Uploader does not start automatically when you place the
recorder in the docking cradle or you get an error message:
Ensure that the recorder is turned on. The Olympus Uploader does not
start if the recorder is not turned on.
Check the status of the USB cable on the workstation and on the
recorder. If the cable is firmly seated and the Olympus Uploader does
not start, unplug the cable from the workstation and from the recorder,
then reseat the cable.
Check the Notification Area to make sure that the
Olympus Uploader has not been closed accidentally.
If the uploader icon does not appear in the
Notification Area, click Start > All Programs >
Dictaphone EXV Clients > Dictaphone DS-4000
Uploader.
Files fail to upload
If you get a failed icon (red icon) and error messages in the Olympus
Uploader log window:
Check the error messages in the Information column for clues. If you
are unable to diagnose and correct the problem using the error message,
you can upload the log file to the VoiceNet > Loguploads directory on
the server for further analysis by Nuance Support personnel.
Ensure that the DSSPlayerPro Dictation Module for
the Olympus Device Detector is disabled. Right-click
the Olympus Device Detector in the Notification
Area and select Setting. If the check box for
DSSPlayerPro Dictation Module is checked, click
the check box to remove the check mark and then click OK.
Have Nuance Technical Support verify that EVIS is installed and set up
correctly on the server.
