Testing the Connection Between
the DS-4000 Recorder and
EXVoice
1. Right-click the Olympus Uploader icon in the Notification Area
and click Open to start the Olympus Uploader application.
Note: If the Olympus Uploader icon is not in the Notification
Area, select
Start > All Programs > Dictaphone >
Dictaphone EXV Olympus Uploader.
2. If this is the first time you are connecting to the EXVoice system, you
need to configure the Commander Selection dialog box.
3. Enter the Name and Address of the EXVoice server and click OK.
4. If a newer version of the Olympus Uploader application is available,
you receive the auto-upgrade prompt.
5. Close all other EXVoice applications that are running on the
workstation. Click Ye s to auto-upgrade.
6. Restart the Olympus Uploader application when the auto-upgrade has
finished. Steps 4 through 6 might be required again if additional
upgrades are available. If there are, you are prompted to upgrade.
7. You can verify connectivity to the EXVoice System by running EXVoice
Client Viewer. If successfully connected, you will see Olympus
