Installing the Olympus Uploader
The Dictaphone EXV Olympus Uploader application provides a simple way
for users of the Olympus DS-4000 recorder to upload dictations to your PC and
to the EXVoice server. Your Nuance Service Representative can provide the
installation file for the Olympus Uploader application to you.
The Dictaphone EXV Olympus Uploader application must be installed on each
workstation from which recorded files will be uploaded to the EXVoice server.
Installing the Olympus Uploader with
EXVoice 7.x
If your facility is using EXVoice Version 7.x, install the Dictaphone EXV
Olympus Uploader application as indicated here using the .exe file
provided by your Nuance Service Representative. A standard .msi
installation file is also available if you prefer to install with a “push”
installation from your server.
Note: If your facility is using EXVoice Version 6.5, refer to “Installing the
Olympus Uploader with EXVoice 6.5” beginning on page 32 for the
installation procedures.
To install the Olympus Uploader application at each workstation using
EXVoice 7.x:
1. Contact your Nuance Service Representative who can provide the
installation file for the Olympus Uploader application to you. Copy the
installation file (probably Enterprise Express Voice Olympus
Uploader.exe, or a similar file name) to your Desktop or to your
C:\TEMP folder.
2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the TEMP folder, or to the
folder where you saved the installation file.
