Configuring the Master Profile for
Using the Olympus DS-4000
Recorder
The provider’s Master Profile must be configured properly to use the Olympus
DS-4000. This can be accomplished in several ways:
For Olympus providers who will be using the same worktypes:
• Create a Master Profile specifically for Olympus providers.
• Modify the Master Profile that you use for your providers and add the
Olympus configuration. The Olympus configuration settings do not
affect providers who use the telephone to dictate. This option is
appropriate if all Olympus providers will be using the same worktypes,
or
For Olympus providers who will be assigned different worktypes:
• Modify the provider’s user account and add a customized profile. The
provider still retains the settings of the assigned Master Profile except
for those that you change for the Olympus recorder. This option would
be useful if you want to assign different worktypes to each Olympus
provider.
Instructions are included in this document for modifying an existing Master
Profile for an Olympus user. If you prefer to customize a provider’s master
profile or create a new master profile, refer to the instructions in your EXVoice
System Administrator Courseware Guide, L-2957-00x.
The instructions for configuring the Olympus recorder in a Master Profile are
different depending upon the version of Enterprise Express Voice you are using
(version7.x or 6.5). Instructions follow for version 7.x. If you have version 6.5,
refer to “Configuring the Master Profile in EXVoice 6.5” beginning on
page 48.

7.x
If your facility is using EXVoice Version 7.0, use these procedures to modify
the master profile on the Portables tab for Olympus providers.
Note: If your facility is using EXVoice Version 6.5, refer to “Configuring
the Master Profile in EXVoice 6.5” beginning on page 48 for the
installation procedures.
